Out & about in Tokyo

Yesterday my friend's Japanese teacher, Takemura-sensei, took us shopping at a huge fabric store. Along the way we saw some great backstreet areas of the city.

And the fabric store was AWESOME!!

I could have spent hours there. Their prints are just amazing, especially the stuff for kids.

Then we went to a little place and had yakitori food for dinner. It was a lot of fun, and delicious (except for the liver). I did at least try a piece, though. Another thing I am not so keen on is the little tiny dried fish that garnished our radish salad. Their eyes kind of freaked me out.

Everything else was great, and our waiter was very nice.

After you eat, you place your skewers in this little bucket:

Earlier in the day, I took these pictures:

See the spiral staircase at the top? Below, Tomomi in the cab:And part of my lunch at a cute Malaysian restaurant:

All in all, another great day in Japan.

Did you buy some fabric? If you did you should put pictures up. I am curious to see what Japanese fabric looks like!
